About
Tim Heineccius – business experience and technical delivery from one person
I'm Tim Heineccius, a consultant for automating manual business processes, based in Bonn, Germany. For more than ten years I've held leadership roles in the commercial side of a large corporation, and alongside that I build software myself. For my clients that means I understand how business teams work – and I can build the solution myself, not just spec it.
- Location
- Bonn, Germany · working mostly remote
- Languages
- German, English

The client's perspective
I know both sides of the table.
For years I've worked in commercial management at Deutsche Telekom, today as Head of Commercial Management for Interconnection Fixed & Mobile, part-time alongside the consulting work. In that role I'm a client and user of internal tools myself. I know how decisions get made in business teams, which numbers have to hold up internally, and why so many tooling projects never make it into daily use. That experience feeds into every consulting engagement.
Consulting is an independent activity. Deutsche Telekom is my employer, not a client or partner of Heineccius Consulting.
- Head of Commercial Management, Interconnection Fixed & Mobile, Deutsche Telekom
- More than ten years of leadership responsibility in a commercial environment
- Part-time today, alongside the consulting work
Technical delivery
Concept and implementation from one person.
I started with Excel and VBA because the tools I needed in my day job didn't exist. From there came Python automations, data pipelines, dashboards and eventually web applications. Today that range extends to the controlled use of language models. I'm not a go-between for client and development team: the person who analyzes your process is the one who builds the solution and hands it over.
- Excel/VBA, Python, TypeScript, SQL
- Data pipelines, web scraping, reporting and dashboards
- Web applications with database and user management
- AI-assisted processing of texts and documents, with review steps
Own product
Chunkaudio: built from scratch, live, with paying customers.
Alongside consulting I run a product of my own. Chunkaudio is an audio splitter that runs entirely in the browser – no file ever leaves the user's machine. Designed and developed by me, in public use. It's a small product, but solid proof that I don't just design software, I ship and run it.
How I work
What you can count on when we work together.
The problem first, then the tool
I start with the workflow, not the technology. If an Excel macro solves it reliably, I build an Excel macro. If Excel is no longer enough, I say so. And if automation isn't worth it, I say that too.
Your code, your data, your independence
Source code, documentation and a walkthrough are part of every delivery. You can run any solution yourself or hand it to another provider. No password protection, no lock-in, no dependency on me.
Small steps, real data
A working version with your real cases early beats one big handover at the end. Feedback comes in while changes are still cheap.
Publications & projects
What I run besides client work.
Chunkaudio
Split audio in the browser – no upload, no account. My own product, with paying customers.
Excelheld
German-language Excel channel on YouTube – a separate, faceless brand I run independently of this site.
E-book: VBA with AI
How AI assistants speed up VBA development – published expertise, available on request.
Next step
Which task eats your team's time every week?
Whether and how a process can be automated is usually settled in one short conversation, not a requirements document. You describe how the work is done today. I tell you which approach is worth considering and whether it will pay off.
